A descent into a slow sub aquatic scape where mermaids solemnly collect and play the bones of the dead.
I started this piece as a response to an invitation to contribute to "Tying Up Loose Ends" ,a nautically themed projectby Tone Burst.
1/ Flotsam, Jetsam, Lagan & Derelict - Salvaging Sound
I began by recording the aeolian harp in the wind close to the sea where I live in Sligo. Then I did hydrophonic recordings of myself singing and whistling- through through a Raghly rock pool. and through the water of Killargue holy well .My Theramin dips in and out, swelling to the moment that a found voice track enters. I later find out that it is from Tommy Jansen (@hr.jansen)
A slow collision between quiet sound, chaos and space.

Everything begins in water.
We crawled out of the sea millions of years ago and we will return to the sea eventually.
Our bones will slowly sink to the sea bed
and they will sing out their stories.
Lest we forget.
